“There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it.” –
My sister came to visit yesterday and brought all of her scrapbooking materials that she loves so much. Even though we are twins, we are creative in different ways and I am not the most crafty. It has taken me 10 years to finally create a baby album for my son! Here are two pages from the album which has got to be the MOST beautiful baby album of all time!!
What is a great baby album without a classic poem to endure through the ages? So far I like William Blake’s words in his poem Cradle Song for my son’s sweet, sleeping face:
Sleep, sleep, beauty bright,
Dreaming in the joys of night;
Sleep, sleep; in thy sleep
Little sorrows sit and weep.
Sweet babe, in thy face
Soft desires I can trace,
Secret joys and secret smiles,
Little pretty infant wiles.
As thy softest limbs I feel
Smiles as of the morning steal
O’er thy cheek, and o’er thy breast
Where thy little heart doth rest.
O the cunning wiles that creep
In thy little heart asleep!
When thy little heart doth wake,
Then the dreadful night shall break.
