my exterior ugly armor
no one dared touch.
Until your clever
arms snatched me,
and painted
Raw Sienna,
Prussian Blue,
Cobalt Violet;
you filled
the spaces;
you pressed
your head
onto my shoulder
and left indelible
impressions
in my soul.
