A Painter Without a Brush

Two shadows
silhouettes

the brush is gone
the picture morphs

we question the grey
in clouds, the pink
horizon, ghostly fingers

point and trace
edges that bleed

into moments
smearing lifetimes

a surreal
panoramic
haze

it covers me

My response to dVerse Poets Pub Poetics: Poetics: The Poet as Painter

I was also inspired by the video above – love the lyrics!

  1. This is absolutely stunning! 😀 I so love; “we question the grey in clouds, the pink horizon, ghostly fingers point and trace edges that bleed.” 💝💝

  2. Covered by that panoramic haze…just where I’d like to be right now, surreally. This is really outstanding work, TS. Thanks.

  3. I love the short lines and phrases, Tricia, like the flick of a brush, the delicte use of colour, and those edges that ‘bleed into moments smearing lifetimes’.
