I was watching the movie, The Notebook, again and was inspired to write this poem! 🥰
Knowing the movie, this is an especially touching poem.
Thanks, I think it was a little cryptic this short, but wanted to keep it a twitter poem too! 💞
Very much enjoyed this – it is bold writing and all the more engaging and refreshing for it. You are an interesting writer Tricia and I will be back for more…
Thanks, Scott, appreciate your kind comment! 💗
very nice poem..
Thanks for your comment! 🥰
Ooh I absolutely love, love this! 💝💝 Especially; “Her poet’s eyes scrambled his thoughts,”… sigh.. The Notebook is an all time favorite 😀
Yes, it’s a favorite of mine as well. This poem just kind of composed itself today, a little different write!
Her poet’s eyes scrambled his thoughts..loved it. An amazing poem, touching one!!
Glad you think so! ❤️🙏❤️
I especially like those last few lines! The poem goes with the photo.
Thanks, Merril! Yesterday was the first day for that hashtag prompt and I thought it was a cool photo!
You’re welcome!
I’ve never seen the movie, now I want to watch it! Looks like its on Netflix 🙂 Lovely electricity to your words here, Tricia ❤️
I read the book by Nicholas Sparks before ever watching the movie, and while I thought it was a little different, I loved both book and movie! 💗💗💗
Sad and beautiful all at the same time!
Thanks, Dwight, I agree, it is sad and scary to lose memories, or experience dementia, yet true love can still prevail even in an aging mind! 💓
You are right!
beautiful tribute poem to a beautiful movie
Thanks, Lisa, glad you enjoyed it! ❣
You’re welcome 🙂
“Her poet’s eyes scrambled his thoughts” – love that line! ❤️👍
Thanks, Sunra! 🥰
I have not watched the movie… but I do love the quiet connection between them, and it seems to be growing.
Thanks, Bjorn! You have to watch the movie! Or read the book by Nicholas Sparks. They are in a nursing home at the end and that’s where I saw these two characters in my poem, although it may be hard to decipher without The Notebook reference. It is not specifically about the characters but the movie just inspired it. 💓
