We scatter secrets
as seeds

trample moons

it’s a magical climb
when logic
blurs and
beanstalks grow

in clouds
making giants

in the center
of shadow

only when
the golden eggs

fly off the page

the story
won’t end.

Written for dVerse Poets Pub Let’s Linger where we are asked to write a quadrille poem of exactly 44 words and use the word “linger.”
