Nobody understands
the constellations of my thoughts
and nobody should –
as I lay flat on my bed
all four corners
creeping in
spinning round
above the ground
the conspiracy of sky
is that it used to
shape-shift
as old stars
slinked
into new
holes
snatching
souls
This is an older poem, but I don’t believe I ever shared it for dVerse Open Link Night, and because I just started a YouTube channel, I wanted to share the video as well! Let me know what you think and for more of my poetry videos #Subscribe!
Well done, Tricia!
Thanks, Linda! It’s been fun learning how to make the videos. Also, looking over my older work and polishing has allowed me to see how my writing has progressed, and the dVerse community has certainly helped elevate it!π
Yes, dVerse has helped many, myself included. π

its good to revisit past poems Tricia – bringing them back into the light
“as old stars
slinked
into new
holes”
Exactly! βΊοΈ Thanks so much, Laura! β
Well, that was exciting! Love the beats. And the poem too of course! π
Thanks, Sunra! So happy you enjoyed the full experience! βΊοΈπΆ
I did! π Why poets don’t offer the full experience, I don’t know! π
π it’s just a little time consuming but I like to dabble! π
I look forward to your rap! π
Yeah, that would be exciting! #NewYearsGoalz

Wowsers Tricia – I love your finish:
as old stars
slinked
into new
holes
snatching
souls”
Bravo!
Thanks, Scott! I actually read how in ancient times it is rumored Saturn was our sun and somehow everything did a switcheroo later up in the sky. Intrigued me!
Love the creative and writing process Tricia. An title and line: the conspiracy of sky. More power to you!
Thanks! I seem to be on a creepy-poem kick lately but enjoying it! ππ
Very nicely done!
Thanks, I had fun with it!! π₯°
:>)
I love how you frame this Iβve as a conspiracy, the secret of recycled words and glimmering stars. Never killer those twinklers die. β¨
Thanks, so glad it worked for you! I think I was experimenting a little with the subject here, but I love changing things up! π₯°
π a pleasure to read.
π
βthe constellations of my thoughtsβ – that is insanely superb!! I just LOVE that line. This whole piece is so beautifully original and magically done. The ending ties everything together in a clever way too. Really really really well written, dear Tricia π€π€
Thanks, so happy you enjoyed it, appreciate your feedback as always! I do love me some star and space imagery in my poems! π€©π«
Aww you are always welcome, dear friend! A treat to read you π€. Ah you do such a good job at it!!! π€

I love it, Tricia! β¨
Thanks! π₯°
The line about old stars slinking into new holes and snatching souls is particularly powerful. Very well done, Tricia!
Glad you liked that line, Jay, thanks for the feedback! ππ₯°
I’ve never related the sky to a conspiracy before …. but I see it now because of your words.
π I think people can make a good conspiracy theory out of anything and the sky is so mysterious it’s perfect material! I’d read an article before that people thought Saturn was our first sun. They called it the “black sun” but technically I know Saturn isn’t a sun. So many theories on how things shifted around up above!
Very nice! Former posts are treasure boxes sometimes, aren’t they? Thanks for sharing this excellent find! π«
Yes, some I kind of cringe at, but most still hold a special place in my heart! Thanks for reading! π
My pleasure! I understand the cringing part and think we all feel that way at some point β£οΈ

an oldie but a goodie with such creativity Tricia!π
Glad you enjoyed the new presentation, Cindy! π₯°
Loved it Tricia! π
π
I’ve always thought of the night sky as friendly but this puts a whole new spin on things!
I’ve always considered the night sky as friendly – this puts a whole new spin on things!
π I think I’d like to be beamed up myself! Thanks for reading! π«
So good! Love the multimedia experience too. π
Thanks, Dora! It’s starting to get addictive making the YT shorts. You can’t even monetize them, but they’re fun! π
Sounds like it! And itβs a great way to get folks to look at poetry who wouldnβt do it otherwise . . . Everything is so βvisualβ these days. Well, tbh, Blake in the 18th c. understood that and added his illustrations to his poetry. Double whammy. π
True! I think poetry does deserve all the glitz and glamour my budding tech skills can muster! Since I don’t pay for the WP Premium I can’t insert my own videos here, but they will allow the YT links, so this is a sneaky way to get my own videos on my page, cheap! π
You canβt go wrong π€©

Thanks, Phillip, I’ve enjoyed trying something new with the short poems, appreciate your support! π
Thatβs a beautiful one, Tricia! I love the flow of words in that last stanza too. π
So happy those lines worked, this was fun to write! π«
I bet it was! β¨π
