It’s Quadrille Monday at dVerse Poets Pub where Linda asks us to write a 44-word poem using the word (or some form of) “Browse”.
I also incorporated the #vss365 Twitter prompt #unforeseen and tweeted it! If some of the lines sound familiar, I pulled them from two of my former Twitter poems to create this strange quadrille!
The painting hangs crooked on the wall
the sky bellows upside down
I turn my tongue
as I browse
tendrils of time
savoring salt and river rocks
The waves rise up
#Unforeseen
and bold words
rain in oblique lines
with meanings scrambled
just so.

You call this strange, I call this quadrille beautiful. We have different definitions of that, my friend. 😉 Really adore this piece and I especially loved the first couple lines; absolutely incredible.
Aww, thanks Lucy!! Only the cool people get my poetry!! ❤️🙏❤️😆 I think 44 words is my sweet spot lately!
Strange and beautiful, as Tricia has proven more than once, are not mutually exclusive, Lucy ❤
You flatter nicely, David! ♥️☺️ ♥️
A mysterious quadrille, Tricia. FYI your Mr. Linky link isn’t working. I had to come to your blog to see your Q. Will you please check your link?
Thanks, Lisa!! I’ll go check it, appreciate you letting me know! ❤️
You’re very welcome ❤
I think I’ve fixed the issue, I linked while on the edit screen the first go around 😜
What a lovely marrying of words! Thanks for correcting the link, I couldn’t locate you to let you know. 🙂
Having fun writing quadrilles again, thanks for hosting, Linda! 💓

Also, I deleted the incorrect one.

Beautiful lines…and a fundamentally important philosophy…first, in imperfection lies beauty, second, always look from another angle..
